Job Description:

Location: Remote (USA Preferred)

Type: Full-time

Compensation: Competitive Base (Performance Bonus + Equity)

About the Role

The Client is seeking a Trading Systems Engineer to help design, operate, and scale their core trading infrastructure — the backbone of their derivatives exchange. Youll work across the full trading stack: from low-latency execution systems and market data pipelines to exchange operations and deployment tooling.

Youll work closely with backend, quant, and devops teams to ensure the clients trading systems are fast, reliable, and production-ready at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize the clients live trading and market data infrastructure.
  • Design and implement tools for monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility across exchange systems.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to deploy, benchmark, and tune matching engines and market data services.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines supporting trading operations.
  • Manage and troubleshoot exchange incidents, latency spikes, and production issues in real time.
  • Ensure high availability and operational excellence in collaboration with traders and product teams.
  • Contribute to system-level design for performance, reliability, and disaster recovery.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in systems, backend, or trading infrastructure engineering.
  • Industry Experience: Operating or developing trading systems, exchanges, or real-time financial platforms.
  • Languages: Strong programming skills in Go, Rust, or C++.
  • Technical Depth: Deep understanding of networking, distributed systems, and low-latency performance optimization.
  • Financial Knowledge: Familiarity with market data distribution, order management, and execution systems.
  • Infrastructure: Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or bare metal).

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience supporting production trading environments or exchange operations.
  • Knowledge of FIX, WebSocket, and REST protocols.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, or container orchestration at scale.
  • Background in derivatives, perpetuals, or crypto-native trading systems.
