The Opportunity
The Client is seeking a highly driven Insti BD Lead to accelerate institutional growth and liquidity expansion. The goal of this role is to attract, onboard, and scale liquidity providers—including funds, market makers, family offices, HNWIs, and crypto-native partners—while driving strategic relationships and revenue.
This role requires an entrepreneurial closer with strong sales instincts and a deep understanding of capital flows across TradFi and DeFi. You should be comfortable negotiating terms and turning investor interest into capital committed on-chain.
Responsibilities
- Pipeline Management: Build, manage, and convert a pipeline of liquidity providers and institutional partners.
- Capital Raising: Source, pitch, and close capital commitments through direct outreach, networking, and events.
- Partnership Development: Develop partnerships across crypto funds, asset managers, market makers, and strategic DeFi protocols.
- Product Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to tailor structured products for institutional needs.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the client at conferences and ecosystem events to drive awareness and adoption.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and liquidity flows to identify growth opportunities.
- Strategy Design: Work cross-functionally to design BD strategies, sales materials, and onboarding processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in institutional sales, investor relations, fundraising, trading desks, or DeFi BD.
- Network: A strong existing network of liquidity providers, funds, HNWIs, syndicates, or family offices.
- Track Record: Demonstrated ability to close deals and raise capital.
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of DeFi markets, liquidity pools, and yield products.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex financial products clearly and persuasively.
- Autonomy: Self-directed, commercially minded, and comfortable operating independently.
Nice to Have
- Experience in structured products, derivatives, or fixed-yield instruments.
- Previous work scaling TVL (Total Value Locked) for a DeFi protocol.
- Strong negotiation skills backed by a documented deal history.
- Existing relationships in institutional crypto circles.
